About Jen
Style and variety can always be found in this experenced vocalist. Classified as an "old soul" who was born in the wrong era, Jen connects and identifies with Jazz, Blues and Classics.
Growing up in Indiana around musicians, someone was always singing, playing an instrument or listening to great music. Jen's music journey began at age 9 with piano and voice lessons. She performed locally throught high school and college and began teaching students on the side.
While persuing a music education degree, she was introduced to the concept of music therapy. A new love was born! The reward of helping people who were sick, mentally/physically challenged or therapuetic rehab was what she had been seeking. Her love for music had so much purpose and was improving the lives of others!
In January 2003, Jen had her first son. She left healthcare and started her own music studio, Advanced Mentor, which allowed her the freedom to be an active Mom, performer and passionate music mentor.
